Thirty-five years after starting her mortgage career from scratch, Patty Arvielo is now a nationally recognized businesswoman, leading a mortgage bank with about 2,900 employees and approximately 160 branches across the country. She is influencing the real estate finance industry in terms of lending policy initiatives, and she is an advocate for the upward mobility of women in the workplace. To better serve Hispanic communities, Arvielo spearheaded New American Funding’s Latino Focus Committee with a mission to identify and address the challenges Hispanic consumers face in their pursuit of homeownership and to enhance the quality of their lending experience.
Arvielo serves on the MBA’s diversity and inclusion committee and is a former member of its consumer affairs advisory council. In addition, she is a former member of the Fannie Mae affordable housing advisory council and the Freddie Mac community lender advisory board, and she currently sits on the Latino Donor Collaborative board.
