Company taps three senior recruiters to lead the initiative
American Mortgage Network (AmNet) has boosted its hiring initiatives with the appointment of three recruitment executives.
The San Diego-based residential lender has hired senior recruiters TraVaughn Paschal, Rick Humphery, and George DeMare to oversee AmNet’s recruitment drive in key geographic areas, the company announced Thursday.
“With so many mortgage lenders forced to adjust their workforces or shut down completely, many talented loan officers and processors are out of work,” said AmNet president and CEO Joseph Restivo. “These professionals are excited by the challenge and opportunity of joining an employee-owned company that is expanding its footprint throughout the United States.”
Paschal, a seasoned business operations professional who has managed several mortgage teams, will oversee recruitment on the West Coast. He joined AmNet from WeMortgage, where he served as executive vice president.
In charge of the Southern region, Humphery most recently worked as director of strategic growth at The Mortgage Firm. Before that, the 22-year industry veteran held various leadership roles at New American Funding, PRMG, MLB Residential Lending, and Washington Mutual Wholesale.
DeMare will handle the Midwest region. He brings 28 years of mortgage experience and a proven track record of developing key talent, including building a sales force. Prior to AmNet, he was in charge of recruiting, training, managing, and developing loan officers for multiple mortgage bankers, including American Portfolio Mortgage Corporation, Endeavor Capital Mortgage, Midwest Mortgage Capital, Creve Coeur Mortgage, and Unicor Mortgage.
“It’s a great opportunity to join the AmNet team where everyone is an owner,” Paschal said. “They are a results-driven organization that is passionate about helping all types of homebuyers. This includes providing financial education that assists them in understanding the responsibilities of homeownership and making the right decision about the type of mortgage loan they select.”
DeMare added, “AmNet reflects the values and vision that define how I work in the mortgage industry. They put employees and customers first in everything they do, which then drives success in the marketplace. Their ability to build and nurture working relationships is what attracted me to their organization, and it is what will attract mortgage talent to our company.”
“The first quality I look for is a go-getter, a hunter who is also a team player,” Humphery said. “AmNet has a great culture and group of team players who are all eager to take the company to the next level. The ideal candidates are those who are coachable but also willing to coach others. We want and love innovative people and those who come in with ideas that can help individuals and the company to grow.”
