Nebraska-based West Gate Bank has tapped industry veteran Tony Nienas (pictured) as vice president and correspondent account executive.
Headquartered in Lincoln, Neb., the family-owned community bank has been offering correspondent services to nonbanks for almost 13 years. Nienas brings more than three decades of experience in mortgage lending to his new role.
“As VP and correspondent account executive, Nienas will be responsible for developing long-term correspondent business relationships with financial institutions in the Central Plains region, increasing market penetration for correspondent mortgage services, and training clients on the bank’s products and programs,” West Gate said in a statement.
Nienas will focus on developing correspondent relationships in 10 states, including Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas and Missouri.
Before joining West Gate, Nienas served as regional sales manager correspondent at Planet Home Lending. He also held a similar position at Home Point Financial and various mortgage roles at Stonegate Mortgage, GMAC Bank, USA Funding Corp, Deutsche Bank, SunTrust Mortgage, HomeSide Lending, and Fleet Mortgage.
