Top exec will help the company serve non-agency borrowers "like no-one else"
Non-agency lender Deephaven Mortgage has tapped Lisa Heitzmann (pictured) as its new chief operating officer.
Heitzmann, who has nearly 30 years of mortgage industry experience under her belt, will lead the operations of Deephaven’s internal underwriting, wholesale, and correspondent teams.
John Keratsis, president and CEO of Deephaven, said Heitzmann’s “in-depth mortgage background, strong focus on operational improvements, and careful attention to risk and compliance management issues” are part of what makes her a perfect fit for Deephaven.
“She has worked extensively with successful entrepreneurs and investors who are non-QM/non-agency loan candidates and has a vision for helping Deephaven to serve them like no-one else,” Keratsis said.

Heitzmann joined Deephaven from LGH Consulting, where she served as a mortgage industry consultant focused on process assessment and optimization. Before that, she held various leadership positions at Xome, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and Indymac Bank.
“I am excited to align Deephaven’s operations to support our positive, pro-borrower culture—where everyone is always looking to say ‘yes’. It’s a pleasure to build on this approach while making it easier for our people and partners to help creditworthy non-QM borrowers,” Heitzmann said.
