Executive brings 30 years of mortgage leadership experience
California-based Insignia Mortgage has announced that former CrossCountry Mortgage executive Jay Robertson (pictured) has joined the company as an associate broker.
Robertson comes to Insignia after serving as vice president of regional business development at CrossCountry Mortgage. His 30-year mortgage career also includes time spent at Finance of America Mortgage, Compass, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Luther Burbank Savings, and First Capital Mortgage (now PHH Mortgage).
According to Insignia’s press release, Robertson “will work closely with clients to help them secure the right mortgage for their needs. He will use his extensive network of industry contacts and his in-depth knowledge of the mortgage market to help our clients navigate the complex process of securing a mortgage.”
Insignia Mortgage co-founder Damon Germanides commented: “Jay brings such a unique perspective to Insignia Mortgage as he has been both a CEO of a large mortgage company and a loan originator. He knows better than most what it takes to win over clients and how to create long-term partnerships with referral partners. His knowledge will be great for our boutique firm.”
“I believe in taking care of my clients,” Robertson said. “It’s not about the volume of business I do. It’s about arming my clients with the most current information so they can make educated decisions about their future.”
Based in Beverly Hills, Calif., Insignia Mortgage specializes in financing no-tax-return loans, foreign national programs, conforming and jumbo loans, zero point mortgages, construction and land loans, as well as apartment and commercial loans.
