Leader takes the helm of the GSE’s compliance risk management program
Freddie Mac has promoted Jerry Mauricio (pictured) to senior vice president and chief compliance officer.
Hired by the mortgage giant in 2019, Mauricio has been serving as interim chief compliance officer since January 2021. He will oversee and lead the firm’s compliance risk management program for its regulatory and conservatorship obligations. Mauricio will report directly to CEO Michael DeVito and serve as a member of Freddie’s senior operating committee.

Mauricio’s 25-year career includes time spent at BMO Financial Group, BNP Paribas, Barclays, Lehman Brothers, and Capital One, where he most recently worked as chief compliance officer and senior vice president.
