Google, Intuit executives switch industries to join real estate platform Opendoor

Opendoor Technologies, a major player in residential real estate e-commerce, has announced the addition of two high-profile executives to its leadership team.

Selim Freiha (pictured left), a former finance leader at Google, will become the company's chief financial officer (CFO), while Shrisha Radhakrishna (pictured right), formerly of Intuit, has been appointed as chief technology and product officer (CTPO). Both are set to join the executive team in November.

“The addition of Selim and Shrisha to our executive team will be instrumental as we continue shaping the future of real estate,” Opendoor CEO Carrie Wheeler said. “Shrisha’s exceptional track record in building transformative digital solutions aligns perfectly with Opendoor’s commitment to creating seamless and innovative customer experiences. Selim brings a wealth of knowledge from the world’s leading tech and e-commerce platforms, making him an ideal fit to help drive our next chapter of growth and financial performance.”

Freiha joined Opendoor from Alphabet Inc., where he led corporate financial planning and analysis as vice president. He also served as VP of finance for Google Commerce and Payments. Before Alphabet, Freiha spent 17 years at eBay holding various senior finance roles, including head of corporate FP&A, chief financial officer of eBay Markets, and VP of investor relations.

“I’ve followed Opendoor closely over the past decade, and the company’s mission of simplifying real estate transactions is one that deeply resonates with me,” Freiha said in a release. “I’m energized to help propel the next phase of growth and financial performance at Opendoor, and to continue delivering value for both customers and shareholders.”

Radhakrishna, who will oversee Opendoor’s technology and product teams, previously held the same title at LegalZoom, where he led a technological overhaul. His career also includes over a decade at Intuit, where he helped develop QuickBooks Self-Employed and QuickBooks Online, two of the company's fastest-growing products.

“Opendoor is not just changing real estate—it’s pushing the industry into the future,” said Radhakrishna. “I’m thrilled to join this exceptional team and continue building customer-centric solutions that simplify the complex processes of buying and selling homes. Our goal is to make moving easier for everyone, and I can’t wait to help drive that forward.”
