New independent member is a "highly respected and experienced REIT industry veteran"
Granite Point Mortgage Trust has announced the appointment of Sheila McGrath to its board of directors.
With McGrath’s appointment, the Granite Point board now consists of six directors, of which five are independent members.
McGrath, a 25-year industry veteran, currently serves as a principal at her consulting firm, Grayton Advisory. She previously worked as a senior managing director at Evercore ISI, covering REITs and real estate operating companies for a decade. Before Evercore, McGrath was sector head for REIT at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods.
