Company also adds industry veterans as part of expansion
Homespire Mortgage has opened new offices in New Mexico, Ohio, and south-central Texas. As part of the expansion, the Maryland-based lender hired three industry veterans to join its mortgage team.
The company named Lynda Fazio as area manager in New Mexico and hired Dave Purdy to serve as regional manager. Fazio’s team brings more than 65 years of combined experience to the market with plans to open three additional branches in New Mexico over the next year.
Kyle LeDuc was tapped as Homespire’s Columbus, Ohio branch manager. LeDuc made the jump from Fairway Independent Mortgage, where he spent nearly nine years as a senior mortgage advisor.
Homespire also appointed Kevin Whatley as regional manager of south-central Texas. Whatley has more than 26 years of mortgage industry experience, most recently as national sales manager at Texas-based FirstTrust Home Loans. He has also held leadership roles at Universal Home Mortgage, Hometown Lenders, Fairway Independent Mortgage, Universal Home Mortgage, Nationstar, and Citi.

“We’re excited about these new offices and the opportunity to work with exceptional mortgage leaders who have both the industry experience and detailed local knowledge within their respective markets and communities to ensure that our customers always receive the best possible experience.”
Homespire said in its release that it plans to continue its expansion efforts in other key markets, including Alabama and Florida, with branches already serving the Port St. Lucie, Tampa, and Orlando metro areas.
