Leaders will lead the company's strategic direction and retain previous responsibilities
Wisconsin-based independent lender Inlanta Mortgage has announced the promotion of Paul Buege as chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Buege, who has three decades of industry experience, joined Inlanta in 2013 as the company's COO and has served as president since 2018. According to a release, he will retain those responsibilities in addition to his new role as CEO.

The company credits him for its successful transition to a remote workforce during the pandemic and for advancing the use of the advisory board, which provides Inlanta's leadership team with guidance and input to shape the company's policies and strategies.
"I am delighted to place Inlanta's strategic direction in Paul's capable hands," said Inlanta Mortgage chairman John Knowlton. "Paul has been instrumental to our record origination volumes over the past few years. He is an inspiring leader who has the expertise and experience to guide Inlanta's continued growth and success."
Buege's 30-year mortgage career includes time spent serving in senior and C-level positions at independent mortgage banks, including Shelter Mortgage, Universal Mortgage, and Fleet Mortgage.
