Former AIME CEO takes executive position at mortgage giant

Katie Sweeney joins Rocket Pro

Mortgage executive Katie Sweeney, who previously led the Association of Independent Mortgage Experts (AIME) and Broker Action Coalition (BAC), has taken on a new executive role with Rocket Pro, the mortgage giant announced Wednesday.

Sweeney is joining the company as executive vice president of strategy and broker advocacy, Rocket’s PR team said, having stepped down from her role as the BAC’s chief executive officer and transitioned to a board advisory role last week.

Sweeney served as AIME’s chief executive officer for a three-year spell between 2021 and 2024, moving over to helm the BAC at the beginning of last year and spearheading its efforts on trigger lead reform.

Her career also included executive stints at loan origination software developer ARIVE and financial services firm Pacific Union, while she was named on Mortgage Professional America’s Mortgage Global 100 and Elite Women lists in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Rocket said in a note that Sweeney had dedicated her career to helping improve and grow the broker community through various leadership positions, and that she is now “continuing that important work” at Rocket Pro.
