She joins from Enact
The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) has appointed Madisyn Rhone as its new vice president of legislative affairs.
Rhone will lead the association’s efforts in advocating its legislative and policy agendas, with a focus on engaging with Democratic members of the US House of Representatives.
Prior to joining MBA, Rhone was the government and industry relations director at Enact, Inc. (formerly Genworth, Inc). The role saw her lead the company’s Democratic government relations efforts and contributing to federal policy positions. She also held various analyst positions within Genworth’s Accelerated Talent Development Rotational Program.
Bill Killmer, MBA’s chief lobbyist and senior vice president of legislative and political affairs, commented on Rhone’s appointment and said she comes to MBA as a “highly regarded industry leader in government affairs.”
In an emailed statement, Killmer specifically highlighted Rhone’s experience from both operational and lobbying positions in real estate finance.
“I am excited that Madisyn is joining our talented lobbying team and fully confident her well-established Capitol Hill network and deep knowledge of industry issues will lead to positive results for our members,” he said.
Rhone is also part of the Structured Finance Association’s Structured Finance Coalition Board of Directors and serves as an advisory board member for the George Washington Global ESG Impact Forum.
Additionally, she holds volunteer positions as vice chair of both the Women in Government Relations Congressional Outreach Committee and the Youth Excited About Sports Board of Directors.
Rhone has a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Central Missouri, according to her LinkedIn page.
