Merchants Mortgage, a division of Merchants Bank of Indiana, has announced the appointment of Ron Berry (pictured) to vice president, retail mortgage sales manager.
Berry, who brings more than three decades of industry experience, will oversee the recruiting, hiring, and training of all mortgage sales professionals. In addition, he will be responsible for the financial performance, budget adherence and growth in customer base for a defined local region.
In a statement, Merchants said it expects Berry to help “drive results through talent management strategies, prioritizing the coaching and development of sales professionals to meet larger business objectives.”

Most recently, Berry served as vice president of mortgage lending at Indiana-based STAR Financial Bank. He has also held various leadership roles at several mortgage banks, including PNC and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
