Departing leader will take on a similar executive role at US Mortgage Insurers
MISMO, the real estate finance industry’s standards organization, has announced the appointment of Jan Davis (pictured) as acting president.
Davis succeeds Seth Appleton, who is departing the organization to join the US Mortgage Insurers (USMI) as president in early 2023.
“Seth has been an exemplary leader of MISMO, successfully guiding the organization in developing new standards that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and accelerate the mortgage industry’s digital transformation,” said Bob Broeksmit, president and CEO of the Mortgage Bankers Association. “MISMO’s momentum will continue unabated during the active search for its next president.”
Davis has served as MISMO’s vice president of operations for the past 10 years. Before that, she spent 20 years at Fannie Mae, where she held various leadership positions, including director of single-family loan operations and enterprise system operations.
MBA said it is in the process of looking for a permanent president for MISMO and is encouraging candidates interested in applying to view the job post at mba.org.
