New addition is a prominent multicultural community lending head
The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) has announced the appointment of Latonia Donaldson as the new chair of its 2023 board of governors.
Donaldson, who brings over 17 years of mortgage banking experience, currently serves as senior vice president and national director of multicultural community lending at PrimeLending. She will co-chair with Luis Padilla, the immediate past NAHREP national president.
As chair of the board, Donaldson is responsible for creating mortgage opportunities within multicultural segments and underserved markets by providing homeownership education and financial literacy to potential homebuyers, the association said in its press release.
The board of governors comprises executives from NAHREP's top corporate partners, major trade associations, and civil rights organizations. The board provides industry and practitioner insights on the Hispanic real estate market, analyzes business opportunities for NAHREP's corporate partners, and advises the organization on housing policy.
"We are blessed to have Latonia join the NAHREP corporate board of governors," said 2023 NAHREP president Nuria Rivera. "Her years of respected leadership and successes in expanding homeownership and generational wealth will steward the NAHREP legacy for a new generation."
"I am deeply grateful to the leadership of NAHREP for entrusting me to serve as 2023 chairperson of the corporate board of governors. Serving alongside such esteemed colleagues for the past 19 years has been my honor and privilege. I look forward to working with each member to continue to push NAHREP's bold vision to create wealth in Latino communities across the US," Donaldson said.
