Executive was central to building the company's direct-to-consumer division
Family-owned company Ruoff Mortgage has named Blake Music as its new president.
The Fort Wayne-headquartered retail lender has tapped Music as its new leader for his involvement in establishing the company’s direct-to-consumer division and creating the Ruoff Institute of Mortgage Operations, which provides training and mentorship to individuals who want to enter the industry.
Music joined Ruoff Mortgage in 2013 as a member of the retail sales team. Most recently, he served as vice president of direct sales of the company’s online consumer direct unit, Expedite Home Loans. Ruoff Mortgage continues to grow its origination business through Expedite, with more than 70 retail locations nationwide.
Commenting on the appointment, Mark Music, owner and CEO, said: “Ruoff Mortgage has proudly been a Fort Wayne-based, family-owned company since its inception in 1984. I’m confident our late founder, Dave Ruoff, would be proud to see that his legacy continues to be preserved and is now set to begin a new chapter—the third generation of our family business. Having the opportunity to work more closely with my son will be a special opportunity as I play out the last few years of my tenure. Blake is well prepared for this next step, having already served 10 successful years with Ruoff.”
“I’m very honored to have the opportunity to carry on the legacy of my grandfather and the business’s namesake, Dave Ruoff,” Blake said. “We have a company full of great people who are focused on giving our customers the best experience in the home finance industry, and I’m very excited to see what we can accomplish in the coming years.”
