Key arrival also brings experience from Chase and Wells Fargo
Citibank has lost Karen Mayfield, former division lending executive, to the national retail sales division of Wyndham Capital Mortgage.
At the Charlotte-based company, the 20-year mortgage veteran will head national retail sales operations and help Wyndham expand its retail sales channel.
Before joining Wyndham, Mayfield led four of Citi’s six markets, including Florida, Mid-Atlantic, Northern California, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to that, she served as president at Chase Home Finance and Wells Fargo.
“We are thrilled to have Karen join us and help build our retail network,” Wyndham Capital Mortgage founder and CEO Jeff Douglas said. “As we continue to grow, adding retail loan officers is natural progression. By combining the best of the digital end-to-end experience for the customer, plus industry-leading tools that help boost a loan officer’s business fostering one-to-one relationships, we are developing the model of the future.”

“Karen brings a contagious passion, leadership and successes to any role,” said Wyndham Capital president Ben Cowen. “She supports and elevates retail loan officers to higher performance. I am excited to have her join our team.”
“Wyndham Capital delivers top-notch customer service for its customers,” Mayfield said. “But just as important, they have the tools loan officers need to build their business. It really is the best of both worlds.”
