Major mortgage company launches new broker app

In the age of ubiquitous smartphones, there’s an app for everything from ordering takeout to getting a date – and, yes, even tracking the mortgage process.

Caliber Home Loans, the fastest growing mortgage company in the U.S., recently launched a new mobile platform with apps designed for sales staff and brokers, real estate professionals and borrowers. The proprietary technology connects to Caliber’s national network to increase efficiency and cut closing times.

"We customized each of these new mobile apps to provide user-friendly access to all touchpoints in the mortgage system,” Caliber CEO Sanjiv Das said. “And we're well-aware that today's consumers prefer to manage their finances via cell phone whenever possible.”

Here’s a closer look at Caliber’s three new apps:

CaliberH2O for sales staff and brokers

Caliber loan consultants, wholesale account executives, approved brokers and non-delegated clients can search for a loan products, find, price and lock loans and access off-sheet pricing. After a loan application enters the pipeline they can view the loan's contacts, key dates, loan conditions, status and disclosure history.

Caliber MyPipeline for real estate agents and builders

Real estate agents and builders can track their shared Caliber loan pipeline while out of the office. The can also see each loan's status, key dates, contacts and comments and all loan notifications for their entire pipeline in a single screen. In addition, Caliber Loan Consultants can be searched and contacted via email, phone or SMS in a few taps.

Caliber Home Loans for borrowers

Before their loan closes, prospects can search for a local loan consultant. After applying for financing, they can check their application's status and upload loan documents. Once the loan closes, Caliber customers can view their account info, make payments and set up recurring payments. They can also see their escrow account and payment history and request removal of private mortgage insurance.
