Decades of data will be available to developers
The rich mine of data held on America’s properties and their neighborhoods by ATTOM Data Solutions is being made available as an API.
The data included is a consolidation of ATTOM’s nationwide property-centric tax, deed, mortgage and foreclosure data with enhanced neighborhood-centric schools, crime, and other community data along with neighborhood and school attendance zone boundaries.
The API opens up potential for applications to allow users to search neighborhoods or wider areas via ‘pin and radius’ selection.
“We’ve combined all the premium property data ATTOM has been collecting and curating for decades with the best-in-class neighborhood and boundary data we recently acquired to create a one-stop shop for accessing real estate data via API,” said Rob Barber, CEO with ATTOM Data Solutions.
The API includes neighborhood data from ATTOM’s recent acquisition of Onboard Informatics.
Free trial for developers
Analytics data, including local home sales and price trends, along with derivative data, including the firm’s Automated Valuation Model are also available on the new platform.
Website and application developers will be able to utilize the database through a self-service platform with a free 30-day trial with instant access to up to 500 production API calls per day. How-to guides and sample integration code is also included.
Trulia recently launched its Neighborhoods platform to give homebuyers new information about neighborhoods using crowdsourced knowledge, stating that neighborhood insights are changing the way people search for homes.
