Dave Motley, CMB has been sworn in as the new chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association.
The president of Colonial National Mortgage and CU Members Mortgage, as well as parent company Colonial Savings, F.A has been an active member of the MBA for two decades including chairing its diversity and inclusion committee and serving on the board for 6 years.
He has received MBA's Andrew D. Woodard Distinguished Service and Top 25 Member Heads of Mortgage Awards.
"I am honored to serve as MBA's 2018 Chairman and look forward to the year ahead," said Motley. "It will be a pleasure to work with both Chris and Brian and together we will ensure that MBA serves its many members, of all sizes, by focusing on the issues that most affect the residential and commercial/multifamily industries."
Christopher M. George, president and CEO of privately held mortgage bank CMG Financial was sworn in as chairman-elect while Brian Stoffers, CMB becomes vice-chair. He is Global President, Debt & Structured Finance at CBRE.
The swearing-in ceremony took place Sunday during the Association's 2017 Annual Convention & Expo in Denver, CO.
