Users of the LendingTree platform can now ensure that their credit profile is correct and safe thanks to a new partnership with TransUnion.
The online loan marketplace has launched a free credit monitoring service which will advise users of any change or potentially suspicious activity on their credit profile using real-time alerts.
Customers can then log in to check and either confirm or dispute changes that have been flagged.
It’s hoped that those customers who may otherwise be unaware of a problem until they apply for a mortgage or other credit product, will be able to quickly address issues, which will be flagged within 30 minutes of them appearing on the credit profile.
"LendingTree empowers consumers with the information they need to feel more confident in their financial decision making," said Charles Battle, Senior Director of Product Management. "By adding free credit monitoring to My LendingTree, we're making it even easier for consumers to manage their credit and monitor their financial health."
LendingTree has seen 7 million users enrol since launching in June 2014 and already provides free credit scores and information on existing financial details.
