The CFPB changes its senior leadership in five positions

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau recently announced changes to its senior leadership in five positions.
The positions are: the chief of staff; the chief information officer; the chief financial officer; the assistant director of consumer lending, reporting, and collections markets; and the assistant director for the Office for Servicemember Affairs.
“I am very excited for the new additions we are announcing today to the Bureau’s senior leadership,” said CFPB Director Richard Cordray. “The mix of experience and talent this group brings will provide great value to the Bureau as we continue to work on behalf of consumers everywhere.”
The following will serve as the new senior leaders to CFPB:

The following will serve as the new senior leaders to CFPB:
- Leandra English – chief of staff: English previously worked at the Bureau as deputy chief operating officer, acting chief of staff, deputy chief of staff, and deputy associate director of external affairs
- Jerry Horton – chief information officer: Horton has more than 20 years of experience in the private sector. He also started and led the Office of the Chief Architect for State’s global information presence.
- Paul Kantwill – assistant director for servicemember affairs: Kantwill is a former director in the Office of Legal Policy, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel & Readiness at the Pentagon.
- John McNamara – assistant director of consumer lending, reporting, and collections markets: McNamara is a former debt collection program manager at the CFPB and a former chief marketing officer for LiveVox. He has 30 years of experience in the debt collection market.
- Elizabeth (Eli) Reilly – chief financial officer: Reilly previously served as the deputy chief financial officer at the CFPB, joining as one of the agency’s first employees in 2010.
