The director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is testifying before the Senate Banking Committee today.
Richard Cordray will testify during the committees hearing on Wall Street reform, scheduled for 10 a.m. Eastern Time. Cordray is likely to answer questions regarding upcoming agency initiatives, such as a proposed rule that would add several new mortgage reporting requirements.
Several other federal agency honchos will be at the hearing, including Daniel K. Tarullo, member of the Federal Reserve’s board of governors, FCIC Chairman Martin Gruenberg, Comptroller of the Currency Thomas J. Curry, and Securities and Exchange Commission chair Mary Jo White.
