Ed Abufaris joins the company to lead its TPO channel
Equity Prime Mortgage has named Ed Abufaris as senior vice president of TPO.
Equity Prime TPO offers wholesale lending, mini correspondent, and portfolio acquisition across 46 states where it is licensed.
Abufaris brings to his new role experience in origination of loans, new program development, underwriting, as well as the sale of loans in the secondary market. Earlier in his career, he spent 10 years with Mortgage Guaranty Insurance as capital market manager.
He later joined CitiMortgage. Abufaris joined AmeriSave as executive vice president of institutional lending in January 2011. A seasoned mortgage executive, he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Florida and currently resides in the metro Atlanta area.
“Equity Prime has a great foundation for building a very robust TPO platform to serve brokers and mini correspondence across the mortgage landscape,” Abufaris said.
