Fairway creates ExpressClose to provide a more convenient mortgage experience amidst COVID-19
Fairway Independent Mortgage has announced the launch of its digital closing technology, Fairway ExpressClose.
The company said that the platform is intended to be an "outlet for borrowers to safely close their home loan remotely" during the coronavirus pandemic.
Fairway offers two digital closing options through Fairway ExpressClose: a hybrid process, which allows for a combination of electronic and wet-sign documents, and a full eClose option that enables borrowers to sign all document electronically (including the promissory note, security instrument, and notarized documentation with settlement).
"At Fairway, we strive to make the closing process a simple one for our customers," said Cindy Porterfield, senior vice president of closing and funding at Fairway. "Fairway ExpressClose is just one way we are introducing cutting-edge technology to our customers and creating a more convenient mortgage experience."
To date, Fairway has closed 2,850 loans through digital closing and has issued 2,085 eNotes.
