The new head of the single-family division replaces former EVP David Lowman
Four months after David Lowman resigned, Freddie Mac has appointed company veteran Donna Corley as the executive vice president and head of its single-family business.
Corley assumed Lowman’s position on an interim basis shortly after his resignation in October. With 25 years of experience under her belt, Corley will continue to oversee all business relationships with sellers and servicers, as well as the performance of its guarantee book. She will also lead the company’s sourcing, servicing, and business operations.
In addition to her role as head of single-family, she will serve as a member of Freddie Mac’s senior operating committee and will report directly to CEO David Brickman.
“Donna Corley is a proven, respected leader, and I am pleased to announce that she will lead the company’s single-family business,” Brickman said. “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Donna for more than two decades. Her qualifications, record of accomplishment, and commitment to our clients make her the best choice to lead this critical business line at such an exciting moment for our company.”
Corley started at Freddie Mac in 1995 as a research analyst and later held various roles within Freddie’s investment and capital markets divisions. She then stepped up to spearhead the credit pricing, risk transfer, and securitization teams at single-family as senior vice president and single-family chief risk officer.
“I am thrilled to accept this role at such an important time for our business and the housing market,” Corley said. “As a mission-based company, we have the ability to help overcome some of the most fundamental obstacles to homeownership. I’m excited to be leading that effort for our single-family division.”
