It is open to service members, veterans, first responders, and healthcare workers
Freedom Mortgage Corporation has started to accept submissions for the fifth installment of its Celebrate Freedom Contest.
The contest is open to service members, veterans, first responders, and healthcare workers. Those interested will need to submit an original photo along with an essay of 1,500 characters or less detailing their answer to the question about what freedom means to them.
The grand prize award winner will win a trip for two to Philadelphia to attend the Wawa Welcome America Festival and receive a $10,000 check.
“At Freedom Mortgage, we take great pride in recognizing those who selflessly dedicate their lives to the service of others,” said Stanley Middleman, president and CEO of Freedom Mortgage.
“For the past five years, we’ve been truly humbled by the stories shared by service members, veterans, first responders, and healthcare workers. We can’t wait to spotlight another hero this Fourth of July,” added Middleman.
In order to encourage people to submit entries, Freedom Mortgage will give a $10 donation to Feeding America and the United Service Organizations, for each of the first 600 submissions.
The grand prize winner for the contest will be notified in June and revealed on July 4 during the Celebration of Freedom Ceremony at the Wawa Welcome America Festival in Philadelphia. It is a summer festival in Philadelphia that celebrates freedom and independence.
The contest will run until May 1.
