Gateway First Bank snaps up industry veteran as chief financial officer

Gateway First Bank has announced the latest addition to its executive team – industry veteran Nicholas Hahn, who has been appointed as chief financial officer.

In his new role, Hahn will lead all aspects of the firm’s finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting and forecasting, funding, deposit operations and asset-liability management.

Then new Gateway CFO brings with him decades of experience, including time spent at Iowa-based community bank Ohnward Bancshares, Real RATE, and Senior Lending Network. Hahn also has a proven track record of “enhancing operational effectiveness and transforming the infrastructures of organizations,” the company said in a statement.

“Nick’s financial expertise and collaborative management style will be a great asset to the executive team,” said Gateway First Bank CEO Scott Gesell. “His ability to design and execute strategic plans that focus on key business drivers will improve Gateway’s efficiency and enable us to deliver results in a cost-effective way. We are excited to welcome him to the team.”

“I’m thrilled to join the Gateway team and look forward to contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the organization,” Hahn said. “My own values align with Gateway’s commitment to strengthening families and communities, so I am excited to join an organization that lives and breathes their mission and values.”
