Jennison Associates names mortgage veteran as new managing director and portfolio manager

Jennison Associates, an affiliate manager of Prudential Financial’s PGIM which offers equity and fixed-income investment strategies, hired Dmitri Rabin as managing director and portfolio manager, effective March 12.

Joining the company’s fixed income team, Rabin will bring 18 years of investment experience to the role. Prior to Jennison Associates, he played a significant part in the effort of the US Treasury to reform the residential mortgage-backed securities market after the 2007-2008 financial crisis. Rabin co-authored a framework to refine investor protections in structured finance documents and also served as co-chair of the Mortgage Securitization Council for the Association of Institutional Investors.

“Dmitri has a deep understanding of how the mortgage and structured finance space has evolved since the financial crisis,” said Thomas Wolfe, Jennison’s head of fixed income. “His extensive portfolio management and research experience, as well as his dedication to investors, complements our strong existing team.”
