Keeping pace with the digital revolution

While the changes to daily life wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic have hit many industries hard, many organizations have found success by shifting gears and focusing on digital business. A free webinar, scheduled for Tuesday at 1 p.m. EST, will help mortgage professionals learn to make the most out of their digital business.

The webinar, Digitally Growing Your Mortgage Business, is presented by Podium. Hayley Sonntag, demand gen specialist at Podium, said that the COVID-19 outbreak has forced many businesses to accelerate a process that was already necessary, since customers were coming to prefer online interaction even before the pandemic.

“(Coronavirus) has sort of acted as a catalyst so that businesses are adapting to customer preferences,” Sonntag said.

Darin Brooks, regional sales director for the company, said that webinar attendees would learn strategies to help their digital business enhance the customer experience.

“They’re going to be able to get actionable items that will help them make sure their digital strategy doesn’t just make things easier for them, but will help them generate more business, help them have more conversations with the right kind of people,” Brooks said. “It will help them streamline [their digital strategy] to make things as easy as possible for the borrower.”

The webinar will discuss the current risks mortgage brokers face, how to solve today’s unique business problems and how to streamline client communications in the digital era. Originators will learn how they can manage their clients’ digital journey through:

  • Optimizing to increase online lead flow
  • Communicating with clients through their preferred channels
  • Nurturing leads through messaging
  • Collecting payments via text
