The firm will employ interns from its training program
loanDepot has announced plans to hire approximately 1,400 new employees by the end of the year.
The company said it would add around 300 loan officers to its local retail branch locations and appoint the others with roles in loanDepot’s joint venture, wholesale channels or corporate infrastructure.
In addition to the local hiring, the company’s retail channel will also tap nearly 1,000 experienced loan officers for its five direct lending national campus locations in Orange County, Scottsdale, Dallas, Detroit, and Nashville by year end.
loanDepot will select most of its new direct lending officers from the firm’s proprietary Accelerated Career in Effective Sales (ACES) training program, which is an educational framework for paid mortgage apprenticeship.
“To ensure we can continue to serve our customers exceptionally well during this period of dynamic growth, we are adding top-level talent to our team, and, one of the key ways we will do this is via our ACES program,” said TJ Freeborn, loanDepot's senior vice president of customer experience. “ACES allows us to give really talented, customer-focused individuals an opportunity to have an exceptionally rewarding career in the exciting world of fintech, even if they have no prior experience, all while helping customers achieve the American dream of homeownership.”
