The Mortgage Bankers Association has named industry veteran Fowler Williams to chair the Mortgage Action Alliance
The Mortgage Bankers Association has appointed a new chairman for the Mortgage Actiona Alliance, its government lobbying arm.
MBA Chairman and CEO Bill Cosgrove has appointed Fowler Williams, president of Crescent Mortgage Company in Atlanta, to chair the alliance for the 2015-2016 political cycle. Williams succeeds outgoing chair Amy Swaney.
“MBA is fortunate that Fowler is willing to sacrifice his time and energy to help build our already robust grassroots network,” Cosgrove said. “His leadership and success in the mortgage finance industry will help ensure his success in the new role.”
Williams, a 15-year industry veteran, has seved as an account executive, national sales manager and executive vice president. In 2011, he was named president of Crescent Mortgage Company, as well as a director on the company’s board.
Williams also serves on the MBA Presidents’ Advisory Council and Freddie Mac’s Customer Advisory Board.
