New hire is an expert at building a JV from the ground up
Building on its growth momentum, Nations Lending has appointed Lori Phillips (pictured) as vice president of production onboarding.
The Cleveland-based lender said that Phillips’ appointment would help the company ensure an efficient expansion. Phillips made the switch from Shelter Mortgage, where she spent almost 13 years driving and overseeing the onboarding of new strategic partners for its joint venture channel NewRez.
Most recently, she was vice president of partnership support at Shelter. She also held managerial positions at Citi and The Equitable Bank, a residential real estate lender in Milwaukee.
“The truth is Lori is one of about a half-dozen people in this industry with this kind of expertise of building a joint venture from the ground up,” said Corey Caster, executive vice president of national production at Nations Lending. “We jumped at the opportunity to bring her on for this reason.”
“Nations is experiencing a kind of unprecedented growth,” Phillips said. “If the company continues its current trajectory, as we all expect it will, I think I’ll be able to make a real impact in establishing key initiatives that help high-growth companies scale safely and securely.”
