Partnership aims to bolster the Chenoa Fund down payment assistance program
New American Funding and CBC Mortgage Agency have formed a strategic partnership to expand the offering of the Chenoa Fund down payment assistance program.
The program provides loan origination services to non-profit affordable home builders, veteran organizations, and other housing development organizations nationwide.
Tai Christensen, director of government affairs for CBC Mortgage Agency, said that the effort is part of CBC’s mission to help creditworthy, low- and moderate-income individuals achieve homeownership.
“We are thrilled about the partnership with New American Funding and the opportunity to expand homeownership to underserved communities through our Chenoa Fund program,” Christensen said. “Together, and in coordination with our minority outreach efforts, we are committed to increasing homeownership opportunities for creditworthy Americans.”
The companies have brought in Mark Tribuna as regional business development manager to spearhead the initiative. Tribuna is currently a senior advisor at CBC Mortgage and most recently served as the lead consultant for Habitat for Humanity’s national mortgage platform.
