Phoenix-area January home sales rose to the highest level for that month in four years as investors and other cash buyers accounted for a record-high portion of transactions ? a trend seen across the West last month. Sales below $100,000 were especially strong, which helped push the median sale price below a year earlier for the seventh consecutive month, to its lowest level in nearly 13 years, a real estate information service reported.
