She has more than two decades of experience in construction lending
Planet Home Lending, LLC (Planet), a national mortgage lender and servicer, has announced the appointment of Melony Harpe as its new vice president construction sales manager.
“We’re excited to welcome Melony to the Planet Home Lending team,” said John Bosley, Planet’s president of mortgage lending.
“Her extensive experience in construction lending aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing top-notch support for our sales professionals,” he added.
Who is Melony Harpe?
Prior to her new role, Harpe served as construction lending administration manager at Gateway Mortgage Group. Before that, she worked at PrimeLending and MetLife Home Loans.
Her years of experience involve more than traditional one-time and two-time close construction loans and also includes financing for manufactured and modular homes, major renovations, barndominiums, metal-framed homes, and custom homes.
In her new role, Harpe will be serving as an advocate and will be working closely with mortgage loan officers to increase their sales of new home construction loans. Her experience will be vital in assessing and enhancing guidelines that will increase the efficiency of Planet’s construction lending, the firm said.
“We want MLOs and retail branches to feel confident and supported in their construction lending efforts,” said Harpe.
“My role is to ensure they have the tools and resources needed to navigate the complexities of construction lending and expand their connections with builders,” she added.
“Melony’s unique background in construction lending positions Planet to continue providing innovative and sustainable mortgage solutions,” said Bosley.
“Melony is a key asset to the Planet Home Lending team, propelling us toward even greater success in 2024,” he added.
