The new president has been a board member of the association for nine years
Mark Raskin of mortgage lender PrimeLending has been appointed the new president of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association (TMBA), according to a news release.
Raskin, a senior loan officer and branch manager for PrimeLending, has been with the company for more than eight years and an active board member of the TMBA for nine years.
"I am honored to serve the TMBA and its members this upcoming year as president," Raskin said. "I'm passionate about making a difference in the mortgage industry, and I'm looking forward to continuing just that in this leadership role."
Raskin has been named a Five Star Professional by Texas Monthly every year since 2012, and a top originator by Scotsman Guide from 2014-2016.
"Mark is going to bring a different perspective to the TMBA; he's an advocate for getting young people involved in the TMBA and mortgage banking. His leadership will be an asset to the organization," said Scott Bristol, PrimeLending President and TMBA board member.
Raskin will serve as president for the 2017-2018 term.
