The mortgage firm brings in 25-year veteran
Sierra Pacific Mortgage has named compliance and risk management veteran Joseph Moran as chief compliance officer and general counsel.
Drawing on his extensive experience in the banking and financial services industry, Moran will run all aspects of the regulatory compliance function for the firm’s business operations. The exec has 25 years of expertise in regulatory issues surrounding mortgage and consumer lending for both origination and servicing.
“We are excited to have Joe join our management team at Sierra Pacific Mortgage,” said Gary Clark, chief operating officer. “In his new role, Joe will be responsible for compliance training, risk assessments, our overall compliance management system, and the facilitation of all regulatory examinations.”
Before joining Sierra Pacific’s, Moran served as chief compliance officer and chief regulatory counsel at Celebrity Home Loans. Additionally, he has held various senior management roles at major financial institutions, including Finance of America, Bank of America, SunTrust Mortgage, Citi, Saxon Mortgage Servicing, and more.
