The Little Rock realtor was killed by a man posing as a prospective buyer
Little Rock realtor Beverly Carter was kidnapped and murdered by a man she thought was a prospective buyer two years ago. Last week, her son Carl founded the Beverly Carter Foundation to help protect realtors, according to KATV.
On Wednesday, Carl Carter announced the creation of the non-profit organization named after his mother.
“The mission of the Beverly Carter Foundation is to create a lasting, substantive, positive impact on safety that every agent needs and deserves,” according to a press release.
Dedicated to the protection of realtors nationwide, the foundation is dedicated to developing safety programs that “are grounded in research around behavioral science, predator profiling, and real-world tools to prevent and deter crime.”
Available to realtors at no cost, the programs will focus on educational resources, instructor-led training, safety seminars and certification events, technology support and endorsement, victim support and advocacy and agent safety legislation.
