Stearns Lending, the country’s No. 1 wholesale residential lender by volume, is providing funding to HomeAid America, an organization that builds and renovates housing projects for temporarily homeless families and individuals
One of the nation’s top wholesale lenders has partnered with a nonprofit organization to provide shelter for the homeless.
Stearns Lending, the country’s No. 1 wholesale residential lender by volume, is providing funding to HomeAid America, an organization that builds and renovates housing projects for temporarily homeless families and individuals. James Hecht, Stearns executive vice president for strategic development, has also joined the HomeAid America board of directors.
“I am pleased and proud to join the leadership team of HomeAid America on behalf of Stearns Lending,” Hecht said. “The partnership between Stearns Lending and HomeAid America promises to be a big success. Both organizations share similar philosophies about the importance of helping families and individuals in the communities where we live and work. I am eager to work with the directors of HomeAid, as well as home builders who support the terrific efforts of this nonprofit group.”
For 25 years, HomeAid America has worked with the building industry to provide temporary shelter for homeless families and individuals working to get back on their feet. The organization has built more than 360 projects across the country, valued at $200 million. Nearly 50% of that has been donated by the building industry.
“We are thrilled to add Stearns Lending as a national partner for HomeAid,” said Peter Simons, CEO of HomeAid America. “Stearns is an industry leader in mortgage lending, and also has shown great philanthropic interest in helping the communities in which they operate. HomeAid is very lucky to have them on our side as we continue our effort to provide housing and other assistance for today’s homeless.”
