New York and Los Angeles continue to attract millennials, but smaller cities are also seeing an uptick with the presence of young folks.
Virginia Beach, Va., registered the biggest increase between 2010 and 2015, with the millennial population growing by 16.4%, according to data from the Urban Land Institute.
As for urban centers, New York welcomed 29,774 millennials between 2010 and 2015, but that was only a 2.5% increased versus Virginia Beach’s 16% spike, according to Time.
On the other hand, some of the urban areas with a declining millennial presence are Kansas City, Mo.; Louisville/Jefferson County, Ky.; and Cleveland-Elyria, Ohio.
