First American on Fortune 100 list of best companies to work for
For the second consecutive year, First American Financial Corporation has been named to Fortune’s “ 100 Best Companies to Work For” list, according to a news release.
“Ranking among the best companies in America to work for two years running is a tremendous accomplishment,” said First American CEO Dennis Gilmore. “Our people consistently impress me with their integrity, commitment and teamwork, so I’m proud to see their efforts to create a premier workplace recognized nationally again. Embracing a culture that emphasizes people first continues to deliver returns for our employees, our customers, our shareholders and for the communities in which we work.”
Fortune compiled the list after surveying about 232,000 employees at Great Place to Work–certified companies. Company practices and workplace culture were evaluated through employee surveys and in-depth questionnaires, including ratings on levels of trust, pride in their jobs and camaraderie with fellow employees.
“Congratulations to the 2017 100 Best,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “These leading companies are at the vanguard of a new business frontier, where organizations know they have to develop the full human potential of all their employees.
They are working to build Great Places to Work for all, which are better for business, better for people and better for the world.”
