MBA Education celebrates largest class of commercial mortgage experts

Record number of professionals earn MBA's commercial servicer designation

MBA Education has recognized 23 professionals who earned the Commercial Certified Mortgage Servicer (CCMS) designation, the largest graduating class in the program’s history, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) education division.

The CCMS is one of the highest professional honors in commercial real estate finance, recognizing expertise in the complexities of commercial/multifamily mortgage servicing. To earn it, candidates must accumulate 100 points through work experience, education, and industry participation. They must then pass a challenging exam with multiple-choice and oral components.

“Congratulations to this year’s class of exceptional graduates for earning a CCMS designation, one of the highest professional honors within the commercial real estate finance industry and one that is increasingly sought after,” MBA 2024 vice chair Christine Chandler said in a media release.

Eligibility for CCMS enrollment requires a minimum of five years of experience. Applicants can take additional courses to earn educational points and prepare for the exam.
