Foundation Mortgage Corporation has brought in industry veteran Carl Holman as its new director of marketing, while retail lender Rate has welcomed former Air Force veteran AJ DiCarlo as a mortgage loan originator.
Foundation Mortgage Corporation, a national wholesale and correspondent non-QM lender, has appointed Carl Holman (pictured left) as its new director of marketing. In his new role, Holman will oversee all marketing, branding, and public relations efforts to further the company’s expansion.
The Miami Beach-headquartered lender is a third-party originator specializing in wholesale and non-delegated correspondent lending. It offers a comprehensive range of loan programs, including Conventional, non-QM, and Foreign National mortgages.

Holman, who previously held marketing leadership roles at A&D Mortgage and Carrington Mortgage Services, brings over 20 years of experience in branding, communications, and mortgage industry marketing.
At A&D Mortgage, Holman served as communications manager, where he played a key role in shaping the lender’s brand positioning and market presence. His career also includes marketing roles at Carrington Mortgage Services, SEDA Construction, Centex Homes, and the University of North Florida.
“Bringing Carl on board is a strategic step forward for Foundation Mortgage as we continue to grow,” said Foundation Mortgage CEO Marc Halpern. “Carl’s strategic vision and proven ability to create impactful, award-winning marketing campaigns will greatly strengthen our brand’s position in the market. We are confident that his leadership and industry expertise will drive growth and bring significant value to our organization and clients.”
Rate’s new loan officer
Meanwhile, retail lender Rate has announced the hiring of AJ DiCarlo (pictured right) as a mortgage loan originator. DiCarlo, a 21-year US Air Force veteran, previously served as a special operations combat airspace manager and is now transitioning into the mortgage industry.
He will serve homebuyers, investors, and homeowners throughout the Florida Panhandle.
“The attraction of being a mortgage loan originator was brought on by my undying desire to serve,” said DiCarlo said in a Press release. “The joy of assisting first-time homebuyers in living out their dream of purchasing their first home, aiding real estate investors in expanding their real estate portfolio and creating generational wealth, and helping existing homeowners with a refinance to ease some of the burden their current monthly obligations may bring them is what keeps me going.”
