New face to enhance financial strategies and operations
Xactus, a mortgage verification technology provider, has announced the appointment of Joseph Peterson (pictured) as chief financial officer.
Peterson, a mortgage industry veteran with over 30 years of financial experience, has joined the company to oversee its financial operations. His responsibilities include managing the strategic direction of the company’s accounting and finance functions, developing policies, procedures, and financial controls, overseeing financial systems, ensuring accurate internal and external reporting, identifying investment opportunities, securing funding, and managing risk.

His proven track record and strong strategic financial understanding will help guide our company as we continue to advance the modern mortgage,” Xactus president Shelley Leonard said in a Press release. “Joe’s contributions will be crucial to successfully execute our financial plan as we reach new heights of growth and innovation.”
Peterson most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at Sagent Lending Technologies. Prior to that, he was EVP and CFO for National Response Corporation, overseeing global finance, human resources, and technology for the 2,000-employee public company.
He has also held several CFO roles in mid-sized, private equity-backed fintech businesses and spent over 13 years with American Express in senior financial leadership positions, including CFO for the global technology organization.
