Company expands service to new state as part of growth strategy
Be My Neighbor (BMN), a mortgage brokerage recently acquired by reAlpha, has secured its broker license in New Mexico, expanding its reach into another state.
This move is part of BMN’s ongoing efforts to grow its presence across the US and offer its mortgage services to a broader range of homebuyers. The brokerage is already available in 27 states, and the company is steadily working on expanding into more regions.
“Securing this license in New Mexico is a pivotal step in our expansion strategy,” Nathan Nottingham, chief of staff of BMN, said in a Press release. “We’re excited to bring our client-focused mortgage services to New Mexico, providing residents with a more personalized and efficient home financing experience.”
BMN’s entry into New Mexico followed its recent acquisition by real estate technology company reAlpha Tech Corp., which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to simplify the homebuying process.
As part of the deal, reAlpha agreed to pay BMN’s co-founders $1.5 million in cash and an additional $1.5 million in restricted stock. An extra $3 million may be paid if BMN hits specific performance targets.
The acquisition is aimed at strengthening reAlpha’s broader strategy of integrating mortgage services into its AI-powered real estate platform. The platform, launched earlier this year, features an AI agent named Claire, designed to guide users through every step of the homebuying process, from browsing properties to finalizing the purchase.

Currently, reAlpha’s AI-powered platform is active in 20 counties across Florida, with plans to secure more licenses and expand into additional states.
