The past 12 months have seen rates hit record lows in the sector as lenders clamour for market share.
Finance professionals engaged in the bridging sector should focus more on service and delivery as opposed to price, Damien Druce head of intermediary sales at Assetz has claimed.
The past 12 months have seen rates hit record lows in the sector as lenders clamour for market share.
But Druce warned that whilst price has a role to play in the decision making process those involved in the market should pay closer attention to service levels and deliverability.
He said: "There is too much of a focus on price in the bridging sector. Price does have a role to play but the key driver for brokers and consumers continues service and delivery.
"The focus of lenders and brokers alike should be ensuring that the right levels of service and delivery are maintained to ensure the best outcomes for everyone involved in the process."
Druce was speaking at the Mortgage Business Expo which is taking place at the Royal Armouries in Leeds today.
