GWlegal head of sales Emma Hall (pictured) is leaving the solicitor firm, citing the need for a new challenge.
Hall will depart from GWlegal in March, while she is understood to be in advanced talks with another business.
Hall said: “I’ve come to the end of the road and it’s time to move on to a new challenge.
“My niche has always been working with specialist lenders and that’s what I want to continue doing.
“It’s been an emotional two and a half years, having worked with GW since 2016, and obviously since 2012 to begin with!”
She was at GWlegal, then known as Goldsmith Williams, from 2002 as a business development manager before moving to Leeds-based rival Blacks Connect in 2012.
She returned to Goldsmith Williams in 2016.
A representative from one lender, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “It’s another damning blow to the firm and she follows a long list of salespeople that have left over the years, including David Shortt, Alan Dring, Donna Smith and Simon Wade. It’s a shame.”
Chris Williams, partner at GWlegal, said:“We wish Emma all the luck and success in her future career.”
The firm said further changes are coming, with online terms of business packs for conveyancing in 2018 and a new broker loyalty scheme launching in early 2019.
