The team is led by Ian Flaxman, head of structured finance, who was previously at Credit Agricole Commercial Finance where he was strategic director.
Flaxman said: “There is no doubt that British firms are finding it increasingly difficult to secure finance from a single funding partner which will enable them to leverage the value of their balance sheets.
“Aldermore’s structured finance team will be developing an integrated asset-based lending solution for SMEs.”
Flaxman added that the bank would announce further deals about the proposition in 2012.
Ian Wilkins, group managing director of commercial finance at Aldermore, said: “The structured finance team will play a strategically important role in enabling Aldermore to deliver an end-to-end finance proposition for British businesses.
“I have no doubt that the team’s extensive experience will enable them make a significant impact and I wish them every success for the future.”
