Recent Right to Build legislation highlights the government's objective to ensure that self and custom build accounts for around a third of new housing in England.
Education is key in the self and custom build sector following a rise in people seeking involvement in the design, layout and specification of their new home according to BuildLoan.

The government has also extended Help to Buy to this sector to enable more people to build their own bespoke property rather than those prescribed by the existing new build proposition.
BuildLoan are currently educating the broker community through a series of roadshows focusing on the opportunities available as a result of this legislation.
